That Australia is the world's most stable democracy is no coincidence.

The freedoms we take for granted owe a debt to the profound legacy of intellectual thought and Enlightenment values inherited from the struggles of earlier generations in Western Europe and America.

Our rule of law and liberal democratic values based on mutual tolerance and freedom of thought, speech, worship and press make us the envy of the world.

Yet recent decades have seen a rise in antagonism towards these values, from within and outside the free world.

In this age of uncertainty, if ever there has been a time to reflect and renew confidence in our founding principles -- it is now.

With this vision in mind, it is my pleasure to invite you to attend a special address by the Hon Tony Abbott MP 28th Prime Minister of Australia on this crucial theme, followed by a Q&A session from the floor.

6.30pm for 7pm Wednesday 3rd May 2017.
