I’m Susanna Panaia, your local Liberal for Perth. 

My upbringing was shaped by hardworking parents and grandparents who immigrated from Italy to Australia. They instilled in me the values of hard work, personal responsibility, and community service.

I married my husband in 2023, who himself immigrated to Australia for the opportunities Australia offers. We have chosen Western Australia as our home, where we plan to work and raise our family.

My professional career has been diverse and focused on improving the lives of Western Australians. I have worked at the highest levels of the Federal Government helping shape policy to support small businesses to prosper, grow and create more jobs. I’ve helped improve government processes across the State government as a consultant and importantly I currently work in local government focused on making our community safer. 

I grew up participating in fundraising efforts by my family right in the heart of Perth, and then personally, actively supported a range of community fundraising events. I am deeply committed to supporting organisations that strengthen our community, such as Rotary International and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of WA. These experiences have reinforced my dedication to public service and community well-being.

As part of the Liberal team, I’m committed to lowering the cost of living, cutting red tape for small businesses, keeping the lights on with a rational energy policy and making housing more affordable by tackling the housing crisis.

I have the energy and the experience to be a strong advocate for our community in Federal Parliament.
