Funding for a new BMX track in Ellenbrook

Apr 30, 2022 | Federal Members, Ken Wyatt

Local kids and BMX enthusiasts will have access to a new BMX track with a re-elected Morrison Government committing $100,000 towards the project in Ellenbrook.

Liberal Member for Hasluck, Ken Wyatt said the funding commitment would help City of Swan replace BMX tracks removed last year for Ellenbrook station and sewerage works.

“The old BMX tracks were very popular in Ellenbrook and encouraged young people to go outdoors and stay active,” Minister Wyatt said.

“While the old tracks were removed in order to improve infrastructure in Ellenbrook, it’s essential we prioritise replacing them as part of securing a stronger future for the local community.

“That’s why we’re committing $100,000 to the City of Swan to help accelerate their plans to consult with the community and build a new BMX track.

“Thank you to the residents of Ellenbrook who fought hard for the return of a BMX track in their neighbourhood.”

If re-elected, the Morrison Government will work in partnership with the City of Swan to deliver this project.

Only the Morrison Government will deliver a better future for Hasluck, as part of our plan to build a strong economy and a stronger future.
