Stamping out anti-social behavior in Mundaring

May 9, 2022 | Federal Members, Ken Wyatt

A re-elected Morrison Government will provide $40,000 to install CCTV in Mundaring to help address anti-social behaviour at the sporting and recreation hub.

Liberal Member for Hasluck, Ken Wyatt, said the funding commitment would increase the Shire of Mundaring’s CCTV network at Mundaring Arena and Mundaring Recreation Ground.

“This funding will support the installation of CCTV to cover the Mundaring Arena and Recreation Ground so we can stamp out anti-social behaviour,” Minister Wyatt said.

“We know the oval and hardcourts have been subject to vandalism. The addition of new cameras would help police identify those responsible, as well as deterring further anti-social activity.

“Mundaring Arena and Recreation Ground are home to fantastic local events as well as our local sporting clubs and community groups.

“These facilities are integral to the health and wellbeing of families right across the Shire and that’s why I’m focused on making sure they are safe at all times for everyone.

“Providing a safer community is part of my local Plan for Hasluck. By delivering a strong economy, the Morrison Government can continue to invest in infrastructure for a stronger future.”

Only the Morrison Government has a plan to continue delivering a strong economy and a stronger future for the residents of Hasluck.
