Liberal Member for Hasluck, Ken Wyatt, has announced the Morrison Government is investing $810,000 for the Swan Valley Sporting and Community Club to support local sports, and deliver infrastructure that builds a stronger local community.
“We’re supporting the Swan Valley Sporting and Community Club to deliver essential upgrades to their changerooms and lighting to make the facility more inclusive and accessible to the many sporting clubs who use it,” Mr Wyatt said.
“These necessary upgrades also include high-lux LED lighting, allowing teams to train and play safely into the evening.
“Investing in local infrastructure and sports facilities is part of my continued plan for Hasluck.
“By having a strong economy, we can invest in local organisations and help to build a stronger future for families, sports clubs and players here in our local community.
Club President, Mr Allen Notte, welcomed the investment, saying “Ken Wyatt has taken up the fight for this critical funding, he understands the important role we play in building a healthy community, and this funding will help us continue to grow and support the many sports groups that call our club home.”
“It gives us and our children the ability to improve our physical and mental health, to socialise with friends, to build on and learn new skills, and to work as part of a team.”
