Why should I join the Liberal Party?
- Contribute to policymaking
- Be an active part of Party meetings
- Be elected to positions within the organisation
- Be involved with campaigns
- Vote at State and Federal candidate pre-selections*
- Attend State Council and State Conference
- Apply for State and Federal pre-selection
- Attend functions with other Party members and Members of Parliament.
*minimum consecutive membership period applies
How do I join the Party?
- Please click here to join online. Alternatively, you can complete this form and upload it to the form submission portal at the bottom of this page, send it to membership@waliberal.org.au or PO Box 49, West Perth WA 6872.
- Once your application has been processed, you will receive an email or letter with your membership details and the contact details for your Branch and Division.
- New members are pending members for 30 days. After this period, you become a financial member.
- New memberships cannot be processed over the phone.
You will not be able to join the Party online if you have previously been a member of the WA Liberal Party or have been a member of another political party. Please see the next two questions for more information.
I have previously been a member of the Liberal Party but my membership has lapsed. How do I re-join?
- Re-joining members are required to fill out this form. Once complete, send it to membership@waliberal.org.au or PO Box 49, West Perth WA 6872.
- Once your application has been processed, you will receive an email or letter with your membership details and contact details for your Branch and Division.
- Re-joining members are pending members for 30 days. After this period, you become a financial member again.
- Re-joins cannot be processed online or over the phone.
I have been a member of another political party. How do I join the Liberal Party?
- Please complete this form and send it to membership@waliberal.org.au or PO Box 49, West Perth WA 6872.
- All potential members who have been members of other political parties must have their applications approved by the Liberal Party’s State Executive prior to your membership being processed.
- Once your application has been considered, you will receive an email or letter advising of the outcome.
- Previous political party members are considered new members once the application has been processed so are pending members for 30 days. After this period, you become a financial member.
- These applications cannot be processed online or over the phone.
What are Branches and Divisions?
- Each Branch of the WA Liberal Party falls within a Division.
- Please click here to view a list of Branches and Divisions.
How do I transfer from one branch to another?
- Please fill out a membership transfer form and send it to membership@waliberal.org.au or PO Box 49, West Perth WA 6872.
- A 30-day pending in period applies to transferring members. After this period, you become a financial member of the new branch.
- Transfers cannot be processed over the phone.
How do I renew my membership?
How do I know if my membership is due?
- Your membership status is visible at the top of LibMail.
- Call Head Office on 08 6436 3300 between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
How does the Party communicate with me?
- You will receive our weekly LibMail via email which contains information such as news, announcements and events.
- Your Branch and Division will send out notices of meetings, events and other happenings.
