Hi, I’m Sudhir Chowdhary, you local Libera for Southern River.

I’ve proudly called Western Australia home since moving here from New Delhi in 2004. My wife and I have raised our daughter in this wonderful community, and we’re incredibly proud that she is now a doctor, contributing to the health and wellbeing of our state.

Community service has always been my passion. As the founding President of the Haryana Society of Western Australia, I’ve worked to bring people together and support those in need. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I helped organise free food and essential supplies for vulnerable families. I’ve also facilitated over 300 blood donations through the Australian Red Cross.

For the past 17 years, I’ve worked in the Perth Magistrate’s Court and now serve as an Officer with the Department of Justice. These roles have given me valuable insight into Western Australia’s justice system. Before moving to Australia, I worked as a service engineer for 12 years and successfully transitioned my skills to meet the demands of the Australian workforce.

As a member of the Mettam Liberal team, I will take real to taking real action to address cost-of-living pressures, tackle the housing crisis, improve access to healthcare, and support local businesses to create jobs.
