St John Ambulance statistics show ambulance gridlock outside WA hospitals is the worst it has ever been – that’s the number of hours emergency patients spent waiting in ambulances outside emergency departments.
This crisis started well before COVID-19, with the number of hours ambulances spent gridlocked increasing each and every year since Labor was elected.
Labor’s mismanagement means there was a record 4,000 hours of ambulance gridlock in December alone!

If we continue to see hospitals with ambulance gridlocked at record levels, there is no doubt the lives of patients will be put at risk.
Western Australia deserves far better than that.The Liberals will make sure the beds in public hospitals are open and put to use, reducing emergency waiting times.
