Candidate for Fremantle
Nicole is passionate about empowering young people to contribute meaningfully to society, and supporting programs that encourage youth engagement in their communities. Nicole's passion for youth engagement was ignited through her involvement with the City of Melville's Youth Advisory Council in her younger years. Nicole has a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry and Mathematics & Statistics) with Murdoch University and has a Graduate Diploma of Secondary Education with Edith Cowan University. Nicole possesses significant expertise in education and youth engagement in her capacity as a secondary Mathematics teacher at Kennedy Baptist College.
Nicole’s diverse voluntary experience is signified by her current and past positions as a Councillor at the City of Melville since 2009, former Deputy Mayor of the City of Melville, Board Member at Kardinya Primary School, Member of the Metropolitan Central Joint Development Assessment Panel and previous volunteer work for the Nations Church youth program. Nicole is nominating to make a difference to the people living in Fremantle by advocating for a stronger economy, lower taxes and more local jobs. As a local resident of the Fremantle electorate, Nicole possesses local knowledge and loves working with grassroots community groups to kick goals for her community.
